The Best Shaman Race

There are many different races for shamans in World of Warcraft cataclysm. But choosing the right race is very crucial for the overall success of your toon. Although all races are equal in terms of the capabilities and skills, but your playing style and the appearance of your toon should be considered as well.

Unlike other classes, the shaman race doesn’t offer the players much room for choices. Only a few races can be a shaman for now, the more if you play under theAlliance. But despite this limited options, you can still find a good race to play with. Blizzard’s release of the Cataclysm allowed 2 more races to support shamans; these are the dwarf and the goblin. Here is some of the best shaman race:

Alliance

Burning Crusade (Draenei) – The skill Gift of the Naaru allows the user to heal them. The natural Shadow resistance skill also increases the chance to hit with all the attacks and spells that are shared with the whole party members of Draenei. The jewelcrafting profession can also be increased up to 5 by the gemcutting skill.

Horde

Troll- This race are capable of Regenerate, this can improve the general regeneration rate of their health. Their Berseking ability also enhances the casting speed by 20% for up to 10 seconds and attack. Other skills of the Troll race are the Bow Specialization, Throwing Specialization and Beast Slaying. A good skill of Trolls for PvP is the Da Voodoo Shuffle, this skill can reduce the movement impairing effects duration by 15%

Orcs – They have some of the most powerful racial skills such as the Command that can increase the damage done by all the pets, Blood fury for increasing the attack power of melee units, Axe specialization and Dodge to effectively dodge melee attacks of enemies.

Tauren – This shaman race is considered an earth type. Their Cultivation skill can increase their Herbalism profession. They have Nature Resistance and Endurance to improve their base health. The enemies can by stunned by Taurens for up to 2 seconds by their War Stomp skill.
